Baltimore City Detention Projects

In this project, I collaborated with my high school students incarcerated at the Baltimore City Detention Center. By drawing their portraits and guiding them through an exploration of the elements of art, the fearful chaos of the jail experience and the events preceding it yielded to awareness of the gifts and aspirations inherent in each young life.
